My Story

Team Greetwell is aiming to scale three mountains in two days! Raising money for WaterAid.

WaterAid is an international NGO, focused on water, sanitation and hygiene. Operating in 34 countries with a clear mission:

To make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

The challenges are immense:

  • 1 in 10 people don't have clean water – and climate change is making it worse.
  • By 2040, 1 in 4 children will be living in places where there is not enough water.
  • 703 million people are still living without clean water close to home.

Any donation, big or small would be greatly appreaicted and wisely used.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks, in the steep, rugged Yorkshire Dales, is the setting for this strenuous weekend fundraising challenge. This region was shaped by glaciers many thousands of years ago, and there are plenty of geological landmarks – striking limestone outcrops and unusual rock formations – to pique our interest as we walk. We will also see the famous Ribblehead Viaduct en-route, part of the scenic Settle to Carlisle railway line.

To scale three mountains in two days is no mean feat – with every step helping you raise funds for a cause close to your heart. This weekend trek provides an exhilarating and demanding challenge in some of the most spectacular countryside England has to offer.
